Procedure: most of the kidney cancers can be treated by removal of entire tumor surgically which can be performed by robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. There are two different options for kidney cancer surgery. Radical nephrectomy includes total removal of the kidney and the tumor inside it. In partial nephrectomy, only tumor is removed and the kidney remains.
Recovery time: recovery time is depended on the patient’s age, general health and what kind of surgery s/he had. Most of the patients are expected to be fully recovered from the operation 6-12 weeks.
